Diane Favro is the author of The Urban Image of Augustan Rome, as well as of numerous publications on ancient architecture and urban design and on women architects in early California. Her current projects include an examination of temporal aspects of the Roman city, urban sitting in late antique Rome, and the historiography and pedagogy of architectural and urban hisstory. She is Direcotr of the Experiental Technologies Center at UCLA, which develops virtual reality models of historic environments for research and education. Professor Favro is also past President of the Society of Architectural Historians.
